Bali Tips

Just some helpful tips for when you are visiting Bali....

If you don't want to carry around lots of cash, apply for a WISE card and activate while still in Australia.  You can use it in lots of shops and restaurants, as well as get money out of the ATMs.  AND, they always offer a better exchange rate than you can get anywhere else.  Click on the link to set yourself up.

VOA ON ARRIVAL - 500, 000 IDR (APPROX $50AUD)
This Visa on Arrival is required for all tourists entering Bali.  It can be done on arrival to the airport, however to save time and standing in line, you can do it online.

TOURIST TAX - 150,000 IDR (APP $15AUD)

Each tourist entering Bali is required to pay this Tourist Tax

CUSTOMS DECLARATION - no charge

You can complete online from 72 hours before departure.  Once complete, keep a copy of the barcode for when you exit the airport (you will be asked for this after you have picked up your luggage).

Riding a Scooter in Bali

If you plan on riding a Scooter over here, make sure that you have checked with your Travel Insurance to ensure you are covered.  Generally, you need an Aussie Bike Licence and an International Licence (can be done online here - just click the link).

Always wear a helmet.
